JOSH: not yet
JOSH: i still have to
JOSH: i don't like doing it

JOSH: ok
JOSH: born 10-02-81 in chicago
CHARU: im asking the questinos
CHARU: youre answering

JOSH: ok
CHARU: i need to do my interview now keep quiet
JOSH: hehe ok
CHARU: so josh.... what kind of umm awards have you won?
JOSH: CHARU, i have won, ok i got a superior (highest award) in the jea
contest of
color newspaper photography
CHARU: whats jea?
JOSH: journalism education association or something
CHARU: daaammmn
CHARU: okay excellent
CHARU: okay so keep going
JOSH: ask away
CHARU: more awards
JOSH: oh, umm i got this geology thing, but that's not really for
photography, i think that
that's the only photography award
JOSH: i have to wait cause i just sent some stuff in
JOSH: i don't like contests
CHARU: of course, okay so when did you discover your love for photography?
JOSH: i would have to say jr year
JOSH: fall of jr year
CHARU: was there a moment you could say
JOSH: not really, my whole life i've kinda thought it was cool, but that's
when i really got
into it
CHARU: okay what do you love about it
JOSH: how it can be used for communication, and art, the whole idea of it,
and what it
can do, for instance taking pictures of homeless people to help them
JOSH: or bands to document a scene
CHARU: totally
CHARU: Are there any artists that have influenced your work?
JOSH: hehe, i don't want to say influenced, but glen e. friedman is my
favorite
photographer, and, this will sound weird, but ian mackaye
CHARU: hehe yeah hes punkrawk
CHARU: you mean his music?
JOSH: that, and his politics
JOSH: how he goes about doing things
JOSH: the charge very little, all ages, diy thing
CHARU: have you ever seen him live?
JOSH: oh no
JOSH: sniff, sadly
CHARU: i weep with you
JOSH: thanks
CHARU: woah i feel like connie chung
JOSH: ...and i feel like the person connie chung is interviewing
CHARU: hehe
CHARU: so tell me about your family
JOSH: i have a mom, dad, and brother
CHARU: any brothers, sisters, amphibian pets?
CHARU: heh spanky
JOSH: my mom is nice, my dad is a journalist, and my brother is mean and
in a band
CHARU: so a good family life- were you a troubled teen?
CHARU: or is this too personal for the masses
JOSH: in my earlier years i was more materialistic than i am now
CHARU: who isn't
JOSH: yeah
CHARU: oh yeah, what are your plans for the future
CHARU: that was horribly vague
CHARU: but you know, college
JOSH: photojournalism, film making, owning an open gallery, going to
college, helping,
getting married, having kids, i could go on and on
CHARU: hehe, what school are you going to
JOSH: getting a checking account
JOSH: ohio university
JOSH: in athens, ohio
CHARU: are you excited about college?
JOSH: oh yes
JOSH: very
CHARU: whys that
JOSH: freedom
JOSH: and resources
JOSH: and an education
CHARU: and free beer
CHARU: bah education
JOSH: hehe
CHARU: lets see

CHARU: if you were a fruit, what would you be and why?
JOSH: kiwi
JOSH: tastes good and is running for president
CHARU: hehe
CHARU: vegetable?
JOSH: tough, but fair
JOSH: gosh, maybe a pepper of some sort
CHARU: oooh jalepeno?
JOSH: maybe
JOSH: i was thinking something like a plain green pepper
CHARU: i think youd be yeah a green pepper
CHARU: those are good
JOSH: yeah i love em, maybe an onion
CHARU: ewww

JOSH: with a deep sea diver and a treasure chest

JOSH: there are so many
JOSH: my mind went blank
JOSH: i'll name one

JOSH: i'm gonna have to go with fugazi, but i've been listening to
tortoise a lot, and 404
records stuff
CHARU: tortoise is kinda kreepy but i will second that emotion
CHARU: okay scariest moment?
JOSH: they have this good cd with the ex, it's good, faster too
JOSH: hmm
JOSH: i don't know, i was scared when i met glen e. friedman
JOSH: i even forgot the name of my camera
CHARU: yo met him?
CHARU: hehe
JOSH: at the sixspace opening in chicago
CHARU: that cant be the scariest
CHARU: thats right i went to that
JOSH: i don't know
CHARU: okay most embarassing

JOSH: cheap? do you realize how many kids made fun of me for that
JOSH: ask brian korey, or people from edgewood
CHARU: hehe- what bus did you go on
JOSH: another bar-mitzvah bus

JOSH: favorite color is probably blue
